Don’t miss out on our next Virtual Cooking Class! It’s going to be on Saturday, February 12th at 5pm Eastern/2pm Pacific. If you’ve ever wanted to learn how to make nasi lemak, the national dish of Malaysia, now is your chance!
This live and interactive virtual cooking class will be taught by Nicolai McCrary, a food writer, food stylist, and photographer who has a monthly-ish Malaysian popup in Austin, TX called Penang Shack.
Nicolai will be teaching us how to make rice cooked in coconut milk and pandan leaves. Then we will be making sambal with ingredients such as tamarind paste, palm sugar, dried anchovies, fresh Thai chiles and dried Chinese red chiles. Vegetarians, just omit the anchovies.
We will also learn how to make the jungle bird cocktail. Dark rum, campari, fresh juices. You will want to have this one in your repertoire come summer time. I am looking forward to this virtual cooking class and I hope to see you there. Click here to join!
