Yup, He’s one of those millenials who threw all caution to the wind in pursuit of a career that has nothing to do with what he studied in school. He writes and talks about food and food culture, and “makes weird recipes seem cool!”

A simple serving of okra can add class and character to any meal. While the humble vegetable is often sidelined and served as a side, in this Southeast Asian dish, the beloved okra is paired with punchy, aromatic, flavor-packed ingredients like sesame oil, fried shallots, and sambal, turning the subtly sweet flavor of okra into the canvas for a riotous vegetable-forward dish!
